Small Steps to Success is a 12 week life skills and pre-employment program for Cis and Trans Women and Non-Binary and Two-Spirit individuals in the Region of Waterloo.
SSTS works with those who face significant barriers to employment which include but are not limited to: mental health, lack of esteem/confidence, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, English as a second language, under educated, emotional instability, lack of support within their home, history of abuse/neglect/homelessness and/or substance use.
Some of the workshops offered are: boundary setting, self-esteem, communication, stress management, time management, career exploration, goal setting, cover letters, resume writing, interview skills and the program includes a 3 week volunteer job placement.
Donations will help cover program costs including: certification fees, application fees, police checks, and transportation costs.
