Givesome’s Privacy Policy

Givesome Management Inc. (GMI) understands the importance of protecting the security and privacy of any personal information you provide. Your trust is important to us and therefore we have created a Privacy Policy that guides our practices concerning the collection, use, retention and disclosure of personal information of our customers, employees, distributors and suppliers.

1. What is personal information?

Personal information is any information about an identifiable individual. This includes information such as a person’s name, address, home phone number and email address. Non-personal information does not identify you as an individual. GMI collects certain non-personal information from our GIvesome.org website users such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer and your Internet Service Provider, the date and time you visited the website, and the website pages you read and any content you downloaded from the website. This non-personal information is used by the website and system administrators to provide you with the best possible service.

2. Do I have to give GMI my personal information?

No, the choice to provide personal information is yours. However, for GMI to provide its products and services to you, there are certain purposes for which your personal information is required. These include primary operational and/or administrative purposes, such as processing payment information, donation tax receipting and other operational purposes that are essential for GMI to provide products and/or services you request from GMI.

3. What about my consent?

Consent is your voluntary agreement with the way in which GMI collects, uses and discloses your personal information. Consent can be either implied or expressed. Implied consent is inferred from an individual’s action or inaction. For example your consent is implied if GMI asks you to provide personal information for a stated purpose, such as those primary purposes mentioned in Question 2. Expressed consent is unequivocal, given orally, electronically or in writing by the individual, and requires no inference on the part of GMI. For example your consent is expressed when you choose to “opt in” to having your information used for promotional purposes.
